Workshop on Ice Crystal Number Concentrations (Ni)

Two-day workshop on Ni (Wed 19 noon – Fri 21 September noon, in Leipzig)

– one day with invited lectures targeted at young scientists (PhD candidates +), and
– one day with scientific presentations and discussion on the topic.

Ice crystal number concentration, Ni, is a quantity  that is of large interest for cloud radiative properties, a key variable to evaluate in atmospheric models, and central when studying sensitivities of ice clouds to perturbations.
The workshop is supported by SPP 1294 “HALO” (www.halo-spp.de).

The workshop is open to anyone who is interested. Please register by e-mail to Johannes Quaas
– until 6 July
– indicating a title in case you want to contribute a talk to the science discussion (15 slots, first come – first serve).
